Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) – Day Shift

Location: Phoenix, AZ
Job Type: Contract | Local
Shift: Day
Shift Time: 6:00 AM – 6:30 PM
Pay Rate: $23 – $28/hr

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, eating, and mobility.

• Assist residents with transfers, ambulation, and positioning.

• Provide meal assistance and transport residents to dining areas.

• Respond promptly to resident requests and call lights.

• Monitor residents' physical and mental condition and report changes to nursing staff.

• Measure and document vital signs.

• Collect and label urine, sputum, and stool specimens.

• Assist nursing staff with suppositories, enemas, treatments, post-surgical care, and post-mortem care.

• Maintain accurate medical records, worksheets, and care documentation.

• Change linens, bedding, and personal care items as needed.

• Transport residents to appointments within or outside the facility.

• Assist licensed nurses during emergency situations.

• Maintain a clean, safe, sanitary, and therapeutic environment.

• Participate in quality improvement and facility processes.

• Perform other CNA duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Active Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) Certification required .

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.

• Knowledge of basic nursing care and patient-support practices.

• Knowledge of CNA regulations and patient-care standards.

• Ability to operate basic medical equipment.

• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

• Ability to maintain accurate medical records and documentation.

• Strong patient-care and interpersonal skills.

• Ability to work effectively with nurses and other healthcare professionals.

• Ability to maintain a safe and hygienic resident environment.
