Dietary Supervisor

Southtowns Care Center is seeking a full time Dietary Supervisor . The Dietary Supervisor will be responsible for assisting the Food Service Director in the creation of high quality meals and the delivering of a meaningful dining experience for clients in our long term skilled nursing facility. We Offer Competitive Salary; Full Benefits Package; Paid time Off; Pension and Opportunities for Professional Growth; Responsibilities include: Overseeing and assisting the Food Service Staff with meal preparation based on established menus, regulations, policies, procedures and best practices. Regularly soliciting client feedback and incorporating solutions regarding the quality and satisfaction of meals served. Assist with menu planning. Maintain and monitor accurate meal documentation records per established procedures. Assist with cleaning of equipment and work areas. Participate in resident care conferences as assigned. Assists cook with the production of meals for service, as required. Coordinates and plans food preparation activities for special events. Supervises the storage & care of food and supplies. Oversees the cleaning of the kitchen, storage, & dining areas, and equipment. Qualifications: Must possess, as a minimum a high school or equivalent education. One (1) year food service experience in a restaurant, health care or senior services setting. Knowledge of state and federal food-handling and kitchen regulations (Serve Safe Certification). Must possess knowledge of food service operations. Must have flexibility, personal integrity, and the ability to work effectively with residents, coworkers, family members, visitors, and the general public.
