Overview Retail Sales Associate – Floor & Decor Floor & Decor’s Sales Associates provide friendly, accurate service and assist customers in finding products to complete their projects. They contribute to a fast-paced, safe environment by keeping sales departments clean and well stocked. If you love to learn and have a passion for helping others, join our sales floor. Full-Time and Part-Time Positions Available. Responsibilities Connect with customers, ask about their projects, recommend our products and excite customers about their purchase. Provide above-and-beyond customer service and exceed customer expectations when assisting customers. Maintain in-stock condition of assigned areas and ensure it is clean, shoppable and safe. Work with management and team members to achieve sales goals. Process customers at checkout using point of sale (POS) system. Process refunds and exchanges according to established guidelines. Follow established cash, check and credit card acceptance procedures. Create price tags and merchandise signs; stock, tag and display merchandise. Operate in a manner consistent with the company’s core values and safety processes. Answer telephone according to company guidelines and assist in other areas of the store as needed. Work in a fast-paced environment with accuracy. Qualifications & Requirements Minimum Eligibility: Must be 18 years or older; knowledge of basic math; customer service experience; ability to handle multiple tasks and work under pressure. Some positions may require forklift certifications through Floor & Decor. Where permissible by state law, certification to use heavy equipment requires successful passing of a drug test. Working Conditions Occasionally exposed to a warehouse environment and moving vehicles. Noise level typically quiet to moderate. Physical/Sensory Requirements Ability to exert 30–60 pounds of force occasionally and 20–30 pounds frequently; ability to stand, walk, reach, climb or balance, and kneel or crouch as needed; use hands and fingers to handle or feel objects.
