Work Environment

The position is based in our outpatient office in Palm Beach, a location known for its thriving fitness culture and access to various sports activities. Working onsite Monday through Friday from 9 AM to 5 PM, you will engage in a dynamic clinical environment where teamwork is encouraged. Our clinic is outfitted with modern therapy equipment, and we prioritize advanced therapeutic techniques to support patient recovery.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments of athletes and active individuals to determine their functional abilities and rehabilitation needs.
• Design and implement individualized rehabilitation programs utilizing advanced therapeutic techniques such as manual therapy, neuromuscular training, and strength conditioning.
• Work closely with orthopedic surgeons and sports medicine experts to create cohesive treatment plans that align with surgical interventions.
• Educate patients and their families about injury management strategies, performance optimization, and long-term health and wellness goals.
• Document patient progress using an electronic medical records system (EMR), adjusting treatment protocols as needed based on data and feedback.
• Participate in community outreach initiatives aimed at promoting sports health and injury prevention through educational workshops and screenings.

Patient Population / Client Focus

This role primarily focuses on athletes and active individuals suffering from sports injuries or orthopedic conditions. You will have the chance to work with diverse clientele, ranging from amateur athletes to recreational sports enthusiasts, helping them regain their strength and enhance their performance. Your interventions will be critical not only for rehabilitation but also for injury prevention, aiming to keep patients engaged in their active lifestyles without setbacks.

Qualifications

• A Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited institution is required.
• Possession of or eligibility for a Florida PT license prior to your start date.
• A minimum of two years of clinical experience in sports medicine or orthopedic physical therapy is expected.
• Strong communication skills and a patient-centered approach are essential for effectively motivating patients throughout their rehabilitation journey.
• CPR/BLS certification from an accredited provider is required.

Preferred Experience

• Completion of a specialty certification such as SCS (Sports Certified Specialist) is highly desired but not mandatory.
• Experience in utilizing contemporary rehabilitation methodologies and technologies will further enhance your contributions to our team.
• Familiarity with EMR systems for streamlined documentation and reporting will be beneficial.

Compensation and Benefits

The compensation for this role ranges from $90,000 to $100,000 per year, commensurate with experience.
