These tasks can include technology development, trade studies, rigs, and demonstrator engines. The IPT leader is accountable for all aspects of engineering, procurement, quality, and customer service and is responsible to the Component Integrated Product Team, Module Center Management and Engineering leadership.What You Will DoSupport a rig development team as tactical and strategic leader to meet task and technical requirements; work closely with team members and authorities on part and rig system development; recommend improvements and identify and address project problems, analyze data gathered, develop solutions and recommendations to solve problems, meet deadlines and optimize performance, with the occasional technical mentoring of an experienced member in the CIPT.Communicate status and technical content to CIPTPerform Control Account Manager duties for task: Track progress, identify and resolve obstacles to minimize disruption to project budget and schedules to ensure smooth project operations.Integrate and manage sourcing activities with procurement, industrial, and manufacturing team members and the internal/external supply chain. Also coordinate timely creation/release of product definition.Lead risk assessments and risk mitigation planning as well as actively participate in initiatives for continuous improvementTravel up to 10%Qualifications You Must HaveBachelor of Science in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) with 8+ of engineering experience ORAdvanced degree with 5+ years of experienceU.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract.Qualifications We PreferBachelor of Science in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering.Demonstrated strong team leadership skills.Demonstrated exceptional customer focus.Excellent communication skills, including verbal, technical writing, and engineering presentations to all levels of management.Aerospace/ jet engine industry experience, previous gas turbine compressor experience and design development experience is highly desirableExperience in a team leader role or similar task leadership positionWorking proficiency with MS Office, Teamcenter, MS Project,Experience in Agile Project Management, including Scrum and Kanban.
