Job Overview and Description Looking for enthusiastic strong self-starter who will assist in overseeing a portfolio of properties consisting of mixed use residential, COOP and Condo assets.The individual will be responsible for assisting in various accounting functions to ensure the accuracy and generating of monthly financial reports by analyzing the general ledger, providing feedback through research, and address reconciling items to supervisors, property managers and clients. Core Functions : Complete Bank, Escrow, Mortgage Reconciliations Assist with Accounts Payable Cash management and vendor payments Support in preparation of excel based work papers such prepaid property tax, insurance, accruals and supporting calculations Compile and generate month-end financial reports. (Balance Sheet, Income Statement, Cash flow Statement, etc. in Accrual and Cash basis) Maintain organized accounting records and documents A ssist with year-end Auditors and Tax Accountant request and providing supporting documentation Aid in preparation of RPIEs, TC 201/3s,tax petitions, and other compliance regulated filings Perform and complete special adhoc and administrative dues and projects Requirements 0-2 years Accounting Experience (preferably in Real estate/Property management) Understand basic fundamental of accounting Excellent analytical, mathematical and communication (Oral and Written) skills Ability to work independently and team environment Preference Associates degree or higher in Accounting/ Finance or alike. Real Estate Industry Experience (Exposure to Residential, COOP, Condo and or Commercial full cycle Accounting) Yardi Voyager, Advanced Excel The ideal candidate will be responsible for timely and accurate preparation of financial accounting data in a variety of areas. It is essential that this candidate brings analytical and organizational skills in order to best support the accounting team.
