The Opportunity

We partner with manufacturers across Allendale seeking CNC Mill Programmers who want more than a lateral move. These companies hire intentionally, and we connect them with professionals ready for roles that fit.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop CNC programs for 3-axis to 5-axis milling machines.
• Select appropriate cutting tools, fixtures, and machine parameters.
• Optimize programs for efficiency, cycle time reduction, and part quality.
• Perform post-processing of CAM data and generate setup sheets.
• Troubleshoot and debug programs on the machine tool.
• Collaborate with design and manufacturing engineers to ensure manufacturability.
• Maintain and update a library of CNC programs and tooling data.

Recommended Qualifications

• Proficiency in CAD/CAM software (e.g., Mastercam, SolidWorks CAM, Fusion 360) for generating toolpaths.
• Strong understanding of G-code and M-code programming for 3-axis and multi-axis CNC mills.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering blueprints, GD&T, and technical specifications.
• Experience with tool selection, cutting parameters, and fixture design for efficient machining.
• Demonstrated ability to optimize programs for cycle time reduction and surface finish improvement.
• Knowledge of various materials (metals, plastics) and their machining characteristics.

Bonus Qualifications

• Experience with 5-axis programming.
• Familiarity with a variety of CAM software beyond the primary system used.
• Background in hands-on machining or tool and die making.
• Ability to perform basic G-code editing at the machine control.
