The Opportunity

We partner with manufacturers across Allendale seeking CNC Swiss Lathe Operators who want more than a lateral move. These companies hire intentionally, and we connect them with professionals ready for roles that fit.

Key Responsibilities

• Set up and operate CNC Swiss-type lathes to produce precision parts.
• Interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and specifications to determine dimensions and tolerances.
• Perform in-process inspections using various metrology tools (micrometers, calipers, gauges, optical comparators).
• Adjust machine offsets and tooling as needed to maintain part quality and specifications.
• Load raw materials and unload finished parts, ensuring proper handling and storage.
• Troubleshoot and resolve basic machine alarms, cutting issues, and quality deviations.
• Perform routine maintenance on machines, including cleaning, lubrication, and minor tool changes.

Recommended Qualifications

• 2+ years experience operating CNC Swiss-type lathes (e.g., Star, Citizen, Tsugami).
• Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints, GD&T, and technical drawings.
• Ability to perform tool changes, offsets, and routine machine maintenance.
• Experience with in-process inspection using precision measuring instruments (micrometers, calipers, gauges).
• Strong understanding of various cutting tools, inserts, and materials for optimal performance.

Bonus Qualifications

• Experience with Mori Seiki or Star CNC Swiss Lathes
• Programming experience (G-code or CAM software like PartMaker)
• Ability to perform basic machine maintenance
• CMM operation experience
