The Opportunity

Key Responsibilities

• Set up and operate CNC Swiss-type lathes to produce precision parts.
• Perform in-process inspections using various measuring tools to ensure quality and adherence to specifications.
• Load raw materials into machines and unload finished products.
• Troubleshoot and resolve minor machine alarms or operational issues.
• Conduct routine machine maintenance, including cleaning and lubrication.
• Interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and work instructions.
• Adjust machine offsets and program parameters to maintain dimensional accuracy.

Recommended Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED
• Minimum 3 years of experience operating CNC Swiss-style lathes
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints, GD&T, and technical drawings
• Strong understanding of G-code and M-code programming
• Ability to perform in-process quality checks using precision measuring tools (micrometers, calipers, comparators)
• Experience with tool offsets, adjustments, and preventative maintenance on machines

Bonus Qualifications

• Experience with CAD/CAM software for programming.
• Background in quality control procedures and metrology.
• Ability to perform basic machine maintenance and troubleshooting.
• Forklift certification or experience operating similar material handling equipment.
• Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive attitude towards process improvement.
