The Opportunity

We partner with manufacturers across Grandville seeking CNC Swiss Lathe Operators who want more than a lateral move. These companies hire intentionally, and we connect them with professionals ready for roles that fit.

Key Responsibilities

• Set up and operate CNC Swiss-type lathes to produce precision parts.
• Perform in-process inspections using various metrology tools to ensure part quality and adherence to specifications.
• Interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and G-code programs.
• Troubleshoot and resolve machine alarms, tool wear, and minor operational issues.
• Conduct routine maintenance on machines to ensure optimal performance and longevity.
• Adjust machine offsets and tooling to maintain dimensional accuracy throughout production runs.

Recommended Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience operating CNC Swiss-style lathes.
• Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints, GD&T, and technical drawings.
• Demonstrated ability to perform in-process quality checks using precision measuring instruments (micrometers, calipers, comparators, etc.).
• Strong understanding of G-code and M-code for program editing and troubleshooting.
• Experience with tool selection, offset adjustments, and machine setup for various materials.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Bonus Qualifications

• Experience with CAM software (e.g., PartMaker, Esprit) for programming and simulation.
• Strong understanding of GD&T principles and their application in inspection.
• Ability to perform minor machine maintenance and troubleshooting.
• Experience with lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Forklift certification or experience operating similar material handling equipment.
