The Opportunity

Key Responsibilities
- Operate and maintain Electrical Discharge Machining (EDM) equipment.
- Set up EDM machines according to blueprints and specifications.
- Monitor EDM processes to ensure quality and efficiency.
- Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting on EDM machinery.
- Inspect finished parts for accuracy and adherence to specifications.
- Adjust machine parameters to optimize cutting performance.
- Document operational procedures and maintenance activities.
Recommended Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- 1-3 years experience operating EDM machinery in a manufacturing environment
- Proven ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings
- Strong understanding of G-code and M-code programming
- Experience with precision measurement tools (e.g., micrometers, calipers, CMM)
- Ability to perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting on EDM equipment
Bonus Qualifications
- Experience with automated material handling systems
- Familiarity with Six Sigma or Lean Manufacturing principles
- Basic understanding of PLC (Programmable Logic Controller) operation
- Proficiency in using CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) software
- Ability to perform minor troubleshooting and maintenance on EDM equipment
