As a Security Officer - General Duty in Blythewood, SC , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial, and more. Join Allied Universal as an unarmed patrol officer in a manufacturing and industrial location, where you will conduct routine patrols, remain visible to help reduce security-related concerns, and support a welcoming environment through strong communication and customer service. Pay Rate: $19.10 / Hour

Job Schedule:

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and/or contractors by carrying out site-specific procedures, access-related protocols, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within an industrial location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and reporting security-related concerns to site leadership and Allied Universal management.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout production areas, parking areas, shipping and receiving zones, and the perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
• Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials and/or visitor authorization as directed by site procedures, and report discrepancies, policy violations, and/or maintenance concerns.
• Support assigned post operations by maintaining accurate activity logs, communicating with team members and/or supervisors, and following workplace rules for a dynamic manufacturing environment.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess at least 2 years of security-related experience.
• Possess at least 2 years of law enforcement, military, and/or corrections experience.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
