Position: Inpatient Rehab RN Clinical Nurse Coordinator - NightsJob Summary and QualificationsThe Clinical Nurse Coordinator (CNC) is responsible for ensuring the delivery of high-quality, patient-centered care and overseeing all functions within the unit during their assigned shift. Working alongside other management team members, the CNC directs, monitors, and assesses nursing care in line with established policies and procedures. This role serves as a resource for staff and exemplifies a commitment to the organization’s vision, mission, and values, thereby enhancing patient experiences and clinical outcomes that contribute to overall departmental success.
Key Responsibilities:Facilitates admission and discharge processes to ensure efficient patient flow and high-quality care.
Engages in ongoing evaluations of the quality of patient care services in collaboration with the management team.
Works with subject matter experts and other managers to foster a collaborative environment that enhances outcomes and service quality.
Promotes a patient-first approach and participates in service recovery when necessary.
Contributes to improving staff engagement by implementing current nursing strategies, including employee rounding and hourly check-ins.
Provides input on interviewing, hiring, and training new staff. Recommends and executes actions related to training, conflict resolution, compliance with personnel policies, performance evaluations, and disciplinary measures to ensure a competitive organization.
Assists with staff scheduling and manages labor resources in accordance with patient care needs and established productivity standards.
Ensures proper inventory management and assists in overseeing supplies and equipment.
Basic Cardiac Life Support certification must be obtained within 30 days of starting employment.
Must be a Registered Nurse.
Associate Degree in Nursing is required.
