Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a high-volume post-surgical unit serving urology and GYN surgical populations
• Manage a patient assignment with a typical ratio of 1:7
• Monitor and interpret telemetry rhythms, including sinus rhythms, heart blocks, lethal rhythms, atrial rhythms, junctional rhythms, and pacing
• Participate in every-other-weekend rotations, floating as needed, and holiday coverage within the contract period
• Document and manage patient care using Epic EMR

• Minimum of two years of recent, relevant Medical Surgical / Telemetry RN experience
• Active Virginia or Compact RN license in hand at time of submission - no exceptions
• Proficiency in Epic EMR required - no exceptions
• BLS certification through the American Heart Association required
• Must pass a telemetry/EKG competency test with a score of 80% or higher prior to start (one attempt given; no remediation available)
• Must live more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible; driver's license required for address verification

• Previous travel nursing experience preferred
• Experience with urology and/or GYN surgical patient populations
• Strong telemetry interpretation skills, including interval measurements and complex rhythm identification

• Work in the Coastal Virginia region, conveniently located near Virginia Beach and Norfolk, offering abundant outdoor and waterway activities
• Overtime may be available for those on a 4×12 schedule, paid after 48 hours
