Contract | Days | 3×12 or 4×12 shifts available | Every other weekend, floating, and holidays required within the contract period

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a high-volume post-surgical unit serving urology and GYN surgical populations
• Manage a patient assignment within a typical 1:7 nurse-to-patient ratio
• Monitor and interpret telemetry rhythms, including sinus rhythms, heart blocks, lethal rhythms, atrial rhythms, junctional rhythms, and pacing
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate post-surgical care and patient outcomes
• Complete required pre-start compliance modules prior to the start date
• Pass a required EKG/telemetry competency test (80% or higher required; one attempt, no remediation)

• Minimum of two years of recent, relevant Medical Surgical / Telemetry RN experience
• Active Virginia RN license or Compact RN license in hand at time of submission - no exceptions
• BLS certification through the American Heart Association
• Proficiency in Epic EMR - no exceptions
• Clean license and background history required - any prior hits will disqualify a candidate from consideration
• Must pass facility fit testing requirements; PAPR cannot be accommodated - any history of fit test issues will disqualify a candidate
• Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible; address verification required prior to offer acceptance

• Previous travel nursing experience preferred
• Familiarity with post-surgical patient populations, including urology and GYN
• Strong telemetry interpretation skills, including interval measurements and complex rhythm identification

• Work in the Coastal Virginia region, offering proximity to beaches, waterways, and outdoor recreation
• Overtime may be available for clinicians on a 4×12 schedule, with overtime pay applicable after 48 hours
