Vice President, Business Development (Life Sciences)Prognos Health is rapidly expanding and redefining the market for actionable lab data in the life sciences industry. We are expanding the team to help us scale our operations, and to better serve our customers.We are hiring for Vice President, Business Development (Life Sciences), focused on selling real-world data solutions to life science clients. This role reports into the Chief Commercial Officer and will be a critical contributor to the company's growth.Prognos Health is the most trusted provider of actionable real-world data (RWD) in the life sciences industry, allowing companies to focus their time on surfacing the valuable insights that improve patient outcomes. Our clinically-focused analytics platform can query patient-centric data to answer key healthcare questions in minutes. Our solutions leverage multiple datasets from an expanding marketplace including medical claims, prescription claims, and laboratory records enabling our customers to solve for various commercial and clinical use cases, and to perform a variety of analytics across sales and marketing. The ideal candidate has highly developed consultative selling skills, knowledge of the various data types used by the industry, experience selling complex solutions and proven success partnering with Life Science companies.Job ResponsibilitiesDelivering on individual sales quotasDeveloping territory account plans, including prospect identification on behalf of the companyKey brand identification, lead targeting efforts, and account planning activitiesDetermine client business strategies to maximize territory sales volume, including frequency of personal visits to clients, and phone contactsProspecting and establishing new client relationshipsManages client communication, record keeping and client contact information throughout all phases the sales process and for HubSpot reportingCollaborating with Marketing, Product Development, Legal and Finance staff to validate client needs are aligned with milestones, scope and deliverablesEffectively representing the company at conferences and eventsDay to day sales responsibilities including training on Prognos products, pricing and proposal development, pipeline management within CRM at all stages of the sales cycle, being available for key client meetings, ensuring Prognos staff are focused on client needsProvide executive team updates each week on progress towards goals, critical needs from other internal groups, and access to all ongoing sales pipeline activity, proposals and contractsUse Google Documents/Email/Calendar, Zoom, Powerpoint, Excel to manage daily internal and external workflow, communications, and reportingRequirementsMinimum of 7 years of experience selling Real World Data (RWD) to pharmaceutical companies is requiredAbility to travel 25% or moreAbility to establish account plans, engage in positive internal stakeholder collaborations, and deliver on the sales goals while managing client expectationsHigh level of communication skills to manage internal and external expectations of the delivery of our high-value, new-channel healthcare servicesTrack record of personal relationship building and selling into pharmaceutical brand teams with strategic services that aren't offered by agencies of recordAlign with Prognos' values and cultureDesire to work in a start-up environment where your contributions make an immediate impact and where accountability is completely transparentPast start-up or early stage growth company experience a plusStrong collaborative and problem solving skillsValues & CultureWe are Passionate, which means do the following:Be proactive and take immediate action.
