About the Role
The Company is seeking a VP, U.S. Business Development to lead and expand its presence in the military, government, and public safety markets. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and executing a growth strategy to increase market share and drive revenue in these verticals. This role requires a proven leader with a strategic mindset, operational discipline, and the ability to build and develop high-performing teams in a fast-paced, high-growth environment. Key duties include identifying and securing dynamic funding streams, targeting government partner programs, and managing government relations to support the company's market position and growth objectives. Applicants must have a BS/BA in business administration, sales, or a relevant field, with an MBA or degree in engineering being a plus. A minimum of 12 years' of progressive business development or sales leadership experience, particularly in complex products sold into defense, government, public safety, robotics, or related industries, is essential. The role demands a candidate with a strong executive presence, superior communication, negotiation, and cross-functional collaboration skills, and the ability to navigate the changing DoD procurement environment. The VP will also be responsible for overseeing a structured pipeline management process, and procurement processes, and for building, leading, and developing a high-performing business development team. The position requires a U.S. Citizen who can pass a General Employment Background Check and is willing to travel up to 65% of the time.
