KFC Assistant Unit Manager

The Assistant Unit Manager supports the Restaurant General Manager in achieving business goals by leading the restaurant team, ensuring a superior guest experience, and developing team members. This role is a training ground for future restaurant leadership positions.

Essential Duties

• Partner with the Restaurant General Manager to monitor and achieve performance goals.
• Ensure a consistently excellent guest experience by maintaining cleanliness, service quality, and food standards.
• Lead by example to uphold high standards of customer service and operational excellence.
• Recruit, train, and mentor team members for growth and development.
• Communicate business updates, promotions, and team objectives clearly and effectively.
• Promote a team-focused and family-oriented work culture.

Other Duties: Attending staff, departmental, and required meetings. Following cash handling, safety, and security procedures. Adhering to KFC and City/State/United States safety regulations. Demonstrating knowledge of and compliance with RBD's Human Resources policies and processes.

Experience & Education: Previous customer service or cashier experience desirable.

Computer & Software Skills: Proficiency using Microsoft Office suite (Word and Excel)

Travel: Regular access to personal vehicle

Physical & Mental Requirements: Standing, Walking, Sitting, Stooped/Bending, Using hands to finger, handle or feel (computer operation), Reaching with hands and arms, Push/Pull up to 90lbs up to 30 feet, Lifting of up to 25 lbs., Talking and hearing: Clear speech and good hearing both face to face and on the phone; hears well in noisy social environments. Seeing: Clear vision at 20 inches or less with or without corrective lenses; vision sufficient to drive motor vehicles safely with or without corrective lenses.

Reasoning & Mental Abilities: Uses critical thinking skills to interpret information furnished in written, oral or schedule form. Makes sound decisions and sets goals based on available information and evaluates situations and requirements to plan and adjust work accordingly. Projects accurate future occurrences based on current or historic data. Must be able to work with supervision; able to make decisions about the severity of variable situations and evaluate the most appropriate response; able to make appropriate decisions related to customer requests.

Hazards: Will be exposed to varying weather conditions, soil, pollen, grass and plant materials and fertilizer while working; will be exposed to cleaning solutions of home strength; may be exposed to industrial strength solutions for pest control, paints or solvents, biohazards such as bloodborne pathogens, sewage, or building waste.
