Tooling Design Engineer

A fantastic privately owned company, with 35 years in business in the Eugene, OR area, is seeking a Qualified Plastic Injection Designer/Engineer to join their team.

Core attributes required:

• 4+ years mold/tool maker experience and demonstrated ability to build, repair and troubleshoot injection molds
• High-cavitation mold experience and familiarity with complex, multi-cavity production tooling
• CAD model building expertise and strong SolidWorks capability with complex assemblies
• Full mold layout design of gating, cooling, venting, and ejection systems
• HDPE molding experience and understanding of flow behavior, shrink, cooling, and high-volume production needs
• DFM, GD&T analysis and ability to design for manufacturability and precision
• Modular tooling architecture experience with common mold bases, standardized inserts, interchangeable cavities
• Tooling reuse strategies for designing scalability and asset utilization
• MasterCAM experience - daily use for machining and toolpath creation
