CarterPierce is partnering with a highly regarded Houston-based private equity firm to hire a Vice President for its investment team.

The firm invests in lower-middle-market industrial businesses and is known for its strong leadership, collaborative culture, and highly engaged approach to investing. This is a true partner-track opportunity offering significant responsibility, direct exposure to the Partners, and meaningful ownership of investments from the outset.

The VP will play a lead role across the full investment lifecycle, including:

• Evaluating and executing new platform and add-on investments
• Leading financial analysis, modeling, valuation, diligence, and transaction execution
• Developing investment theses and presenting recommendations to the Investment Committee
• Taking day-to-day ownership of investments post-close and working closely with portfolio company leadership
• Managing junior investment professionals and external advisors
• Supporting sourcing, portfolio strategy, value creation initiatives, and exit planning
• Working directly with the Partners on investments and broader firm initiatives

We are seeking an exceptional, well-rounded private equity investor with strong investment judgment, transaction experience, and the ability to operate with significant autonomy. Candidates should bring a strong track record in private equity investing, excellent technical and analytical skills, intellectual curiosity, leadership ability, and a highly collaborative approach.
