Role Description This full-time, on-site Technical Sales Engineer role is based in Boston, MA. The Technical Sales Engineer will engage with customers to understand their technical and business requirements and propose appropriate electronic components, solutions, and services. Daily responsibilities include preparing and delivering technical presentations, supporting design-in activities, coordinating with internal engineering and sales teams, and providing guidance on product selection and system architecture. The role involves managing a pipeline of opportunities, responding to technical inquiries, and ensuring a smooth transition from design to procurement and implementation. The Technical Sales Engineer will also monitor market trends, maintain product knowledge, and contribute to customer and internal training efforts. Qualifications Technical expertise in electronics or related fields, including knowledge of components, embedded systems, or hardware design. Customer-facing skills such as solution selling, relationship management, and the ability to translate technical features into business value. Strong communication skills, including clear technical writing, presentation abilities, and effective collaboration with cross-functional teams. Analytical and problem-solving skills to assess customer requirements, troubleshoot technical issues, and recommend appropriate solutions. Ability to manage multiple accounts and projects, prioritize tasks, and maintain accurate documentation in a fast-paced environment. Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related technical discipline, or equivalent practical experience. Experience in technical sales, field applications engineering, or product support within the electronics industry is preferred.
