Role Description The Electrical Estimator is a full‑time, on‑site role based in the Dallas–Fort Worth Metroplex. This role is responsible for reviewing plans and specifications, performing detailed quantity takeoffs, and preparing accurate cost estimates for electrical projects. Day‑to‑day tasks include analyzing labor, material, and equipment costs; requesting and evaluating supplier and subcontractor quotes; and developing competitive bids in coordination with project managers and leadership. The Electrical Estimator will collaborate with operations and field teams to clarify scope, identify value‑engineering opportunities, and support project budgeting and scheduling. The role also involves maintaining estimating databases, tracking historical cost information, and contributing to continuous improvement of estimating processes. Qualifications Ability to interpret electrical drawings, specifications, and building codes, and apply them to accurate project takeoffs and estimates. Proficiency with estimating software or spreadsheets, and strong numerical and analytical skills for cost modeling and bid preparation. Solid understanding of electrical systems, materials, installation methods, and industry standards in commercial and residential construction. Strong communication and collaboration skills to work with project managers, field supervisors, suppliers, and clients. Demonstrated attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to manage multiple bids and deadlines simultaneously. Experience in electrical estimating or related electrical construction roles; prior work in the Dallas–Fort Worth market is a plus. Relevant technical education such as an apprenticeship, trade school, or degree in electrical technology, construction management, or a related field is preferred.
