Distribution Operations Associate

Distribution Ops Assoc, VOD-Temp, is a contract role responsible for providing internal and external support for Video‑On‑Demand (VOD) content distribution activities across our network brands. The successful candidate will be self‑motivated, detail‑oriented, and able to thrive in a fast‑paced, multi‑network environment. This role works closely with internal partners such as Media Services, Programming, Media Engineering, Broadcast Operations, Sales, and Marketing, and with external partners to maintain high‑quality VOD delivery and CableLabs ADI metadata compliance. Responsibilities Confirm all entertainment programming assets are delivered as scheduled by programming teams. Provide timely communication and resolution to incoming partner/dMVPD inquiries and support requests. Execute distribution delivery planners and communicate delivery schedules to all entitled partners/dMVPDs. Execute communication of takedown alerts and affiliate alerts for high‑profile content deliveries and programming priorities. Redeliver VOD packages to partner/dMVPDs as required. Track partner/dMVPD issues. Oversee automated and manual Aspera VOD and DAI ad and promo deliveries to MVPDs and monitor all distribution to ensure timeliness of deliveries. Perform daily reporting and tactical tasks related to Canoe DAI assets/metadata, Nielsen VOD TIC Encoding data, and daily management of DAI Google reports with Ad Sales. Perform deliveries of media using internal and external applications and tools including Aspera, Signiant, Media Monorail and other internal systems to domestic clients. Manage failures in VOD workflow including troubleshooting automation, manually packaging content when necessary, providing operational support to VOD partners and ensuring all deliveries ordered can be fulfilled in a timely manner. Be a subject matter expert in all department workflows, databases, and software. Be a part of a strong, high‑functioning team that executes assignments effectively and efficiently. Ensure the prompt resolution of high‑level issues related to file integrity, media attributes, and content compliance. Follow all Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and assist in documenting department processes. Show an attitude of continuous improvement. Assist manager in developing, maintaining, and enforcing media management, storage and content security policies. Liaison with various departments and provide a high level of customer service. Qualifications Education: Bachelor’s degree desired or relevant work experience in media packaging and distribution. Experience: 1‑3 years of media distribution, post‑production, or broadcast operations experience. Internship or entry‑level experience in a media‑related role is acceptable. Intermediate level.
