Under the general direction of the Supervisor II of the Acquisitions Management Section (AMS), the Analyst III (Lead Analyst) independently performs the most difficult, complex activities of the California Department of Tax and Fee Administration. The Analyst III is responsible for intake/review of requisitions of all information technology (IT) and non-IT acquisitions transactions. The Analyst III must exercise a high level of skills and judgment while managing their workload. The incumbent must collaborate effectively in a team-oriented environment, adapt to changing priorities, accept responsibility, and consistently produce high-quality work products. Under Government Code 14200, this position may be eligible for partial telework for eligible candidates residing in California. All telework/hybrid schedules require staff to report to the office a minimum number of days per week. Schedules are subject to change.

Currently, per the California Budget Act of 2025, all California Department of Tax and Fee Administration salaries are subject to the provisions of the State of California’s Personal Leave Program.

Working Conditions

• Partial telework may be available.
• Standard office environment (for example, artificial lighting, controlled temperature, among others.).

Special Requirements

• Travel may be required up to five percent (5%) of the time.
