Special Education Teacher

We're partnering with a school to hire dedicated Special Education Teacher for the 2026/2027 school year with our client in Hennepin County, MN . This is an on-site contract role for 37.5 hours per week. Position Details: Start Date: Aug 25, 2026 End Date: Jun 10, 2027 Schedule: Follows school district schedule Grade Levels: High School School Year: 2026/2027 Responsibilities: Provide specialized instruction and support to high school students in a specialized special education setting. Apply a trauma-informed approach to help create a safe, supportive learning environment. Collaborate with a multidisciplinary school-based support team to promote student success. Deliver individualized support in small-class settings to meet diverse student needs. Build strong relationships with students while supporting positive behavior and engagement. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university. Current teaching license in ASD or EBD, or an active license in another subject area with willingness to obtain an Out of Field license. Experience working with diverse populations, or demonstrated commitment to supporting diverse learners. Ability to work effectively in a specialized special education environment supporting student behavioral and learning needs.
