Job Description

To provide excellent service to all members and non-members.  Responsible for teller transactions such as; deposits, withdrawals, loan payments, official checks, MasterCard payments, and cash advances.  Balance daily transactions and verify cash totals.  Performs account maintenance and closing under the supervision of the Head Teller.  Actively cross-sells Credit Union services.  Serves members promptly and professionally.

Greet members as they come in the door or line up at the teller line

Perform all teller transactions

Perform Drive-Thru teller duties

Balancing and Scanning of checks at end of day

Work closely with Senior Teller to ensure knowledge to back up as needed

Perform Opening & Closing of Credit Union

Positive Attitude on a daily basis with members and co-workers

Perform changing out bags on coin machine, assists folks using coin machine – if Applicable.

Assists members with account reconciliations as time permits.

Charge members all applicable fees

Set up members for online banking, bill pay, telephone teller, mobile check deposit, and etc.

Follow credit union policies and place holds on deposited checks as needed.

Update members’ accounts with current Driver’s License and other forms of identification

Refer potential new members over to member services.

Answer phone by second ring if receptionist is not at his/her desk.  Scan items as needed.  Provide members with information regarding lock-box sizes, pricing, availably, and rules/regulations.  Open/Close lockboxes by completing contracts and obtain required signatures.  Assist authorized members with entrance to lock boxes.

Knowledge of Microsoft Office.  Knowledge of Credit Union Policy & Procedures as found on the F: Drive.  Skill to handle various personalities.  Knowledge of ATMs.

This position requires a lot of standing.  Flexible in working in lobby or drive thru.  Break Room for breaks.  Driver’s License Required w/self-transportation.
