This position is open in our Kansas City, MO office. The Immigration Paralegal is responsible for a full range of business-related immigration matters. This position will work directly with the Firm’s Immigration Attorneys to provide full-cycle production for a range of business-based immigrant and non-immigrant petitions. This will include direct client contact and independent preparation of applications and other immigration forms for attorney review.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

Provide full-cycle production for a range of business-based immigrant and non-immigrant petitions Advanced experience working with Microsoft programs and immigration software, preferably INSZoom. Proven success working in a fast-paced, continually changing environment. Exceptional attention to detail and ability to manage a large-volume caseload. Excellent communication, analytical, and organizational skills. Attend and participate in internal CLEs. Serve as a mentor to more junior Paralegal and legal assistants, as needed. Stay informed of developments in Paralegal industry. Familiarity and experience with adopting legal AI and ability to learn and implement new AI preferred. Meet annual billable hour target of 1500. Perform other duties as required.

POSITION SPECIFIC REQUIREMENTS

3 years of paralegal experience in-house or in a law firm setting in business immigration law. Associate’s degree required; Bachelor’s degree or Paralegal Certificate preferred. Significant, substantive legal related experience may be considered in lieu of formal education at the discretion of the SBU Managing Director.
