SUPERVISOR I

$7,172.00 - $8,910.00 per month. New to State candidates will be hired into the minimum salary of the classification or minimum of alternate range when applicable. Final Filing Date: Until Filled Job Overview Under the general direction of the Business Enterprises Program (BEP) Manager, the Supervisor I provides leadership in collaboration with the BEP Central Operations Manager, the Business Enterprises Consultant, and the Northern Field Manager to advance Southern Field Office functions and other related major projects within the BEP. The Supervisor I leads staff to complete advanced analysis, identifies solutions to mitigate program risks, and facilitates cooperative relationships with BEP vendors, contractors, and other stakeholders. The Supervisor I analyzes situations and resolves problems effectively, ensures staff compliance with statutes and regulations, reviews and analyzes data for BEP locations to provide recommendations to management, and provides regular evaluations of field procedures. Working Conditions Work will be performed in office settings, offsite in the community, at events and partner locations, or at an approved alternate work location. The incumbent must work in an office setting up to 40 hours per week, remaining at a workstation for extended periods, using a personal computer and office equipment. Strong interpersonal skills are required to interact effectively with consumers, the public, colleagues, and other stakeholders. Minimum Requirements Supervisor I position. Qualifications Experience in supervising or leading teams in a similar environment. Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills. Ability to analyze data, prepare reports, and provide recommendations. Knowledge of statutes, regulations, and program requirements. Effective communication skills, both verbal and written. Desirable Qualifications Extensive experience in business management and practices with emphasis on operations and food service operations, including human resources, equipment maintenance, accounting systems, inventory control, menu planning, and marketing. Ability to function as part of a division management team to plan, develop, and implement program and department policies and priorities. Strong interpersonal and communication skills with internal and external stakeholders. Experience in leading and working through challenging tasks, providing assistance and leadership to staff, stakeholders, and peers. Effective decision‑making skills and strong analytical ability. Demonstrated initiative, independence, flexibility, and adaptability. Willingness to travel overnight throughout the state.
