As a Security Officer Screening Services in Hagerstown, MD , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. Join Allied Universal as a Screener in a fast-paced logistics and distribution location, helping monitor entry points, screen visitors and/or packages, and support security-related procedures with professionalism and care. You will remain visible, communicate clearly, and help to deter incidents while delivering strong customer service. Guided by our agile, reliable, and innovative team, you will put people first and act with integrity every day.

- Provide customer service to visitors, drivers, and staff by carrying out site-specific screening procedures, access protocols, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
- Screen individuals, packages, and/or personal property entering or leaving the location in accordance with posted rules, client-directed procedures, and Allied Universal standards.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, and unusual activity in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and reporting concerns to site contacts and/or supervisors.
- Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials and/or shipping-related documentation, and help to deter unauthorized access to restricted areas.
- Conduct regular and random patrols around the location and perimeter, remaining aware of changing conditions common in logistics and distribution environments.
Minimum Requirements:
- A guard card or license is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
