Take your skills and compassion to the next level by supporting students as a paraprofessional in Lehigh County, PA, for the 2026–2027 school year. Multiple contract positions are open, with placements available in school districts across Carbon and Lehigh counties. Assignments begin with limited hours for Opening Day and Summer Academy in August 2026, transitioning to regular school hours later in the month. These classroom-based opportunities span support for students with multiple disabilities, autism, and emotional needs. Locations include Northwestern Lehigh, Northern Lehigh, Catasauqua, Hopewell, Lehigh County Educational Academy, and Lehigh Learning Achievement School.

What We’re Looking For:

• At least one year of paraprofessional experience in a school or special education setting
• Ability to commute within 35 minutes of assigned site
• Flexible to work school hours: arrival as early as 7:00 AM, dismissals as late as 3:30 PM
• Familiarity or willingness to work with challenging behaviors and provide physical support (e.g., lifting, toileting, assisting students who elope)
• Meets one of the following PA state paraprofessional requirements: 48 college credits, associate degree or higher, or successful completion of state/local assessment or training modules (can earn PA para credential within 60 days of hire)
• Owns reliable transportation
• Ready to complete all mandatory clearances before assignment

Responsibilities Include:

• Providing direct classroom and 1:1 support to students with varying intellectual, behavioral, and physical needs
• Collaborating closely with teachers and therapists
• Following individualized education plans
• Using proactive de-escalation techniques and assisting with both academic and behavioral support
