Description

We are seeking a professional, friendly and energetic individual with great customer service skills to join our team as a Mini Golf Snack Bar Attendant at the Pier during the summer.

NYC Food Handlers License strongly preferred if not, the ability to get Food Handler's License within one month;

Work schedule

• Must be available every weekend throughout the summer;
• The commitment would be from now till end of October
• Saturdays and Sundays (weekends) (9am – 4pm)
  • Opportunity to work more hours during the weekend

Primary Responsibilities

• Taking orders from customers
• Preparing and serving food;
• Handling transactions and cash-handling;
• Maintaining cleanliness and organization of the snack bar area;
• Stocking inventory and replenishing supplies;
• Providing excellent customer service by answering questions and addressing concerns;
• Following safety and hygiene procedures to ensure food safety;
• Collaborating with other staff members to ensure smooth operation of the snack bar;
• Commitment to Manhattan Youth’s mission;
• Perform other job duties as assigned

Qualifications

• High School diploma or G.E.D required;
• NYC Food Handlers License strongly preferred if not, the ability to get Food Handler's License within one month;
• Knowledge of basic food preparation techniques and food safety regulations;
• Ability to lift up to 40 pounds and stand for extended periods of time;
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays;
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment;
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
