About this position:

The Deposit Services Specialist is responsible for reviewing, researching and resolving discrepancies in customer data. Responsibilities also include dealing directly with outside companies/agencies/financial institutions and ensuring that laws, regulations and policies are adhered to. Provide operational support to the branches and assist Managers with coordinating work tasks. This is a temporary position. The position is located at our Headquarters in Glens Falls, NY or can be located at our Latham, NY Business Office.

Essential job functions:

• Research, report and provide resolution to exceptions in timely manner according to department policies and procedures.
• Review data for proper authorizations and compliance and take appropriate action.
• Update, modify, and correct data meeting department's goals and objectives while following policies and procedures.
• Identify and recommend areas needing improvement within processes.
• Provide consistent, outstanding customer service by anticipating and reacting to internal and external customer needs.

• Education/certifications:
• High School Diploma or equivalent experience required
• 3 years of banking experience preferred
• Skills/knowledge:
• Solid knowledge of banking rules and regulations pertaining to deposit accounts
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite: Word, Excel, and Outlook
• Strong problem-solving skills, ability to analyze and solve problems independently
• Ability to prioritize multiple tasks/projects to meet deadlines

Physical demands:

• Must be able to sit for prolonged periods of time and walk/stand for brief periods of time.
• Must be able to repetitively use a telephone and computer mouse and keyboard.
• Ability to lift/move up to 15 lbs

The salary range for this position is $20.00 per hour commensurate with experience and education. Additional compensation may be earned through the Company's annual bonus program, subject to individual and company performance.
