Springs Ambassador

The Springs Ambassador serves as ambassador of the Resort by providing exceptional experience to guests and support to employees, assists any persons on premises needing directions and/or information, guards, patrols, or monitors premises to ensure the safety and security of guests and employees, and to deter and address instances of theft, vandalism and violence, or rule infractions, responds to alarms, seeks guidance from management (if time allows), takes appropriate actions based on situation, facts known, management directions and position limitations. Follows established guidelines and company emergency response plans. Prepares written reports of daily activities.

Responsibilities

• Serves as ambassador of the Resort by providing exceptional guest experience and support to employees.
• Ensures application of safety and security protocols to daily operations of the Resort, events, and other Resort activities.
• Patrols on foot or in a golfcart throughout the perimeters of the property, monitors parking lots, buildings and the general grounds of the Resort and attempts to identify potential criminal activity and/or inappropriate conduct.
• Circulates through the public areas to help prevent or remove disturbances.
• Makes self-visible to deter criminal activity and to give guests a sense of safety.
• Collaborates with Spa employees to ensure condition of pools and pool decks are organized and clean including placement of furniture, cleanliness of pool water, stocked water stations, and collection of abandoned used towels.
• Responds to specific departments, as needed.
• Directs and manages parking for guests and employee traffic during busy holidays and weekends.
• Monitors posted speed limit on property.
• Answer alarms speedily and investigate problems on the property.
• Reports and investigates suspicious activities.
• Assists Management in investigating guest incidences i.e., disruption in a room or guest injury.
• Acts appropriately in the case of an emergency.
• Calls the police or other emergency personnel when needed.
• Coordinates activities when local authorities come on property to investigate, as directed by the General Manager or HR Representative.
• Assists, on a case-by-case basis with employee relations such as terminations, as directed by the General Manager or HR Representative.
• Utilizes security cameras when directed by GM and/or HR, otherwise limited viewing.
• Carries radio or phone, which is used to listen to calls requesting safety or security assistance.
• Researches and recommends additions and improvements to the safety management program, particularly in areas such as emergency preparedness, crisis management, accident prevention, general safety, and risk management.
• Works with the General Manager to create a crisis management team and protocols.
• Depending on the Resort may assist with First Aid supplies (OSR) or AED (OC).

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years of age or older.
• CPR/First Aid/AED certification.
• Must have a valid driver's license and be approved by company insurance vendor.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Punctuality and reliability are critical.
• Military or police experience preferred.
• Knowledge of self-defense is a plus.
• Strong sense of honesty and above-average strength.
• Excellent observational skills and attention to detail, always remaining alert to all the goings on at the Resort.
• Good judgement and decision-making ability.
• Ability to remain calm in high-pressure situations.
• Ability to sit, stand for eight or more hours a day, sit, reach, lift, bend, kneel, stoop, climb ladders, climb stairs, push, pull, and lift items weighing up to 50 pounds at a time.
• Ability to work flexible hours including days, evenings, weekends, weekdays, and holidays required.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
