Primary Purpose Advises on complex legal issues and develops practical solutions that balance risk management with strategic business priorities. Duties and Responsibilities Creates innovative legal solutions to facilitate business growth while managing compliance and risk exposure. Leads the provision of legal advice on aspects of strategic initiatives while driving cross-functional alignment. Resolves disputes with regulatory agencies, ensuring compliance while minimizing financial penalties and reputational damage. Develops contract templates and negotiation strategies for standard and high-risk business agreements. Oversees and develops legal strategies and coordinates with external counsel to resolve disputes. Advices on employment law, intellectual property, data protection, and general corporate matters. Implements a structured system for tracking legal documentation. Performs other duties as assigned. Qualifications Education Required: Juris Doctor (J.D.) or Bachelor of Laws (LL.B.) degree and active membership in the California Bar or another U.S. state Bar. Experience Required: 8 years of related experience. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required: Legal Drafting – prepares written legal documents, including motions, letters, briefs, memoranda, or contracts. Required: Contract Management – streamlines creation, execution, storage or renewal of contracts, with a focus on compliance, often via software or other automated means. Required: Legal Research – identifies and retrieves information necessary to support legal decision‑making. Required: Legal Advisory – provides an opinion regarding the substance or procedure of the law in relation to a particular factual situation. Required: Regulatory Compliance – ensures an organization’s adherence to laws, regulations, guidelines and specifications relevant to its business processes. Required: Litigation Management – settles a dispute in a court of law. Required: Corporate Governance – employs mechanisms, processes and relations used by various parties to control and operate a corporation. Required: Legal Due Diligence – assesses legal risks associated with a business transaction, such as a merger or acquisition. Required: Documentation and Records Management – creates, distributes, uses, maintains and disposes of recorded information maintained as evidence of business activities and transactions. Required: Commercial Negotiation – plans, reviews, analyzes and performs other activities that a buyer and seller conduct to reach an agreement. Pay Range $173,500.00 - $305,500.00 / year The actual pay rate will depend on the person’s qualifications and experience.
