Staff Accountant

The Staff Accountant is responsible for supporting the accounting function and reports directly to the Senior Staff Accountant and Controller. This role assists with maintaining financial records, preparing reconciliations, supporting month-end close activities, and ensuring the accuracy of accounting transactions. Success Factors Helpful, congenial, personable, and positive Unpretentious, approachable, respectful, and team-oriented Organized, timely, confidential, and responsive Accountable, takes ownership, and eager to learn Detail-oriented with strong analytical skills Adaptable and capable of managing multiple priorities Duties and Responsibilities Assist with monthly close activities and general accounting processes Prepare and reconcile general ledger accounts Perform bank reconciliations and investigate discrepancies Support trust account administration, including settlement checks, trust refunds, retainers, and unapplied cash Assist with Work in Progress (WIP) reconciliations and reporting Track and maintain COBRA activity records Prepare recurring and ad hoc financial reports Review financial data for accuracy and completeness Support audits, special projects, and process improvement initiatives Perform additional duties as assigned Education, Experience, and Skills Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required 2–4 years of accounting experience required Experience with general ledger reconciliations, journal entries, and month-end close activities Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy Effective written and verbal communication skills Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment Proficiency with accounting software and MS Office applications Intermediate to advanced MS Excel skills preferred Strong organizational and time-management skills Analytical mindset with problem-solving abilities Experience in a professional services, legal, or corporate accounting environment preferred DEXIAN is an Equal Opportunity Employer that recruits and hires qualified candidates without regard to race, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, age, national origin, ancestry, citizenship, disability, or veteran status. #J-18808-Ljbffr
