Safe Air Systems is seeking motivated, hands-on individuals to join our team as Entry-Level Service Technicians at our Randleman, North Carolina location. This role reports directly to the General Manager and offers comprehensive training in the repair, maintenance, and service of high-pressure air compressors and related control systems used in the fire fighting, SCBA, paintball, and military industries.

Company-provided service vehicles are available for all work-related travel, and technicians can expect regular travel throughout the month to support customers and service operations.

What You'll Do

Service & Maintenance

• Perform scheduled maintenance and repair services on breathing air systems and related equipment.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and operational issues.
• Complete major equipment overhauls as needed.
• Maintain accurate service records, including labor, mileage, parts usage, and repair documentation.
• Complete service tickets and customer invoicing documentation in a timely manner.

Customer Support

• Interact professionally with customers daily.
• Communicate service findings and recommendations clearly and effectively.
• Build positive relationships that reflect Safe Air Systems' commitment to exceptional service.

Inventory & Vehicle Management

• Manage parts inventory assigned to your service vehicle.
• Track and document the movement of parts between the service department warehouse and assigned vehicle.
• Perform daily inspections and routine maintenance of company-assigned vehicles.

Safety & Compliance

• Follow company safety policies and industry best practices.
• Maintain situational awareness and a strong commitment to workplace safety.
• Coordinate with field service management to ensure efficient service delivery.

What We're Looking For

Required Qualifications

• Strong mechanical aptitude and a willingness to learn.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage assigned tasks effectively.
• Basic computer skills, including comfort using tablets and digital service documentation.
• Valid driver’s license and the ability to travel daily.
• Willingness to travel with 2–3 overnight stays per week as a standard.

Preferred Qualifications

• Basic electrical knowledge and ability to read electrical schematics.
• Familiarity with service and maintenance documentation.
• Knowledge of compressed air systems or breathing air equipment.
• Understanding of applicable NFPA standards related to compressors and breathing air systems.
• Prior experience in the fire service industry is a plus but is not required.
