This role combines data analysis, reporting, workflow automation, and systems support to improve operations and connect business needs with practical technical solutions.A key part of this role is the ability to translate complex data, technical concepts, and analytical findings into clear, practical insights for non-technical stakeholders. The Data Analyst will work closely with attorneys, firm leadership, and administrative teams to understand their business needs, identify data-driven solutions, and communicate recommendations in a way that is accessible, actionable, and relevant to their work.The ideal candidate is analytical, creative, collaborative, and comfortable serving as a bridge between technology and the people who use it. The successful candidate will not only be skilled at developing reports, dashboards, and automated solutions, but will also be able to explain what the data means, why it matters, and how it can be used to improve decision-making and firm operations. Our lawyers are nationally recognized for their expertise in immigration law and have received top rankings from the Washington Post, Washingtonian, The Legal Times, Best Lawyers, and Chambers.Data Analysis and ReportingCollecting, cleaning, and analyzing data to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities to improve firm operationsDesigning and maintaining interactive Power BI dashboards, reports, and data modelsGathering requirements from stakeholders and translating business needs into effective reporting solutionsExtracting and integrating data from systems, databases, APIs, and linked data sources to improve reporting accuracyTranslating findings into clear, actionable recommendations for users and leadershipWorkflow Automation and Systems SupportDeveloping tools, scripts, and workflows using Power Automate and Power Apps to automate data processing, create interactive forms and streamline reportingImproving reports, dashboards, systems, and processes for efficiency, scalability, and usabilityEnsuring data is captured accurately and consistently in accordance with cybersecurity, privacy, and applicable regulatory requirementsParticipating in risk, change, and configuration management activitiesDeveloping and maintaining system documentation, procedures, and user guidesIT Coordination and Operational SupportServing as the firm’s technical lead and liaison with its managed IT service providerCollaborating with stakeholders, vendors, and technical teams to support firm initiatives and secure, reliable systemsProviding technical and data-related guidance to users and leadershipAssisting and providing backup to the Billing and Accounting Manager as neededRequired Education and ExperienceBachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent experience.Experience developing Power BI dashboards and reports, using Microsoft Power Automate and Power Apps.Required Knowledge Skills and AbilitiesProficiency in Power BI, including data visualization, dashboard development, and reportingProficiency in Power Automate for workflow customization and Power Apps to streamline data collectionStrong Excel data analysis skillsKnowledge of database design, data structures, data models, and data workflowsWorking knowledge of operating systems, networks, databases, and enterprise applicationsAbility to interpret business requirements and policies and translate them into technical or data-driven solutionsStrong analytical, problem-solving, and systems-thinking skillsAbility to communicate technical information clearly to non-technical audiencesPrecise attention to detail and disciplined documentation practicesAbility to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and work independently and collaborativelyCompensation and BenefitsSalary range: $65,000 - $75,000 (commensurate with experience)Benefits include: PTO, paid holidays, 401(k) with firm contribution, paid parental leave, and excellent healthcare optionsWork ScheduleFull-time 40 hours/week
