Senior Accountant

Kforce's client, a growing and well-established organization located in the Saint Louis, MO area, is seeking a Senior Accountant to support financial reporting across multiple entities, including manufacturing and distribution operations. This role is highly visible and will play a critical part in the month-end close, balance sheet ownership, and financial analysis. This position is hybrid - 2 days in office Tuesday and Thursday, and 3 days remote. Key Responsibilities:
- Own and reconcile key balance sheet accounts
- Support monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes
- Prepare and review journal entries, account reconciliations, and supporting schedules
- Partner cross-functionally with FP&A, Tax, Treasury, and Operations
- Assist with internal and external audits
- Support ERP/system initiatives, including testing and troubleshooting
- Identify and drive process improvements
- Mentor and support junior accounting staff
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required
- 3+ years of progressive accounting experience
- Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and internal controls
- Experience with financial reporting, reconciliations, and variance analysis
- Background in manufacturing, distribution, or inventory/cost accounting preferred
- Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, lookups, data analysis)
- Experience with ERP systems OneStream a plus
- Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills
