Work Environment

As a Physical Therapist, you will work onsite at our modern rehabilitation facility in Sarasota. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations of patients referred by physicians to understand their physical limitations and needs.
• Design and implement individualized treatment plans that incorporate a variety of therapeutic modalities tailored to each patient's unique condition.
• Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment approaches as necessary to ensure optimal recovery outcomes.
• Provide hands-on therapeutic interventions, including manual therapy techniques, therapeutic exercises, and modalities such as ultrasound or electrical stimulation.
• Exhibit excellent customer service by engaging with patients and their families to explain treatment processes and encourage participation in their recovery journey.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate care strategies and maximize patient outcomes.
• Maintain accurate documentation of patient evaluations, treatment plans, and progress notes in accordance with legal and organizational standards.
• Educate patients about their conditions and the importance of ongoing therapy, equipping them with knowledge for self-management post-treatment.
• Achieve and meet utilization goals and objectives set forth by the practice.

Patient Population / Client Focus

In this position, you will work with a wide spectrum of patients, encompassing various specialties, including orthopedic, pediatric, neurologic, and sports medicine. Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited physical therapy program (APTA or CAPTE-approved) is required.
• A Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy is a requirement.
• Current state licensure to practice Physical Therapy in Florida.
• Basic Life Support Certification as per American Heart Association guidelines.
• Demonstrable commitment to patient care and the ability to communicate effectively in both written and verbal formats.
• Proficiency in computer systems and documentation software.

Preferred Experience

• A Doctorate of Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited program is highly desirable.
• State licensure as a Doctor of Physical Therapist (DPT) by the Florida Physical Therapy Examining Committee.
• Minimum of two (2) years of clinical experience in a physical therapy setting.
• Current CPR certification is preferred.

Compensation and Benefits
