This supervisory role will involve gathering and aggregating data to establish maintenance needs, track performance metrics, forecast budgets, and support capital planning. You will develop data dashboards to track KPIs such as labor resources, operational efficiencies, costs, and asset lifecycles, using SQL Server Management Studio, Power BI, SCADA, Hach WIMS, Infor public sector suite, and Excel. Proficiency in SQL and Visual Basic (VB) scripting is essential for analyzing, managing, and interpreting infrastructure and end‑user data. The role requires collaborating with a small team and internal customers, maintaining high attention to detail, forecasting needs, and contributing to the overall vision of the department. Responsibilities Design, develop, guide, and manage infrastructure asset management programs, including concepts, procedures, guidelines, and analytical methods. Administer an operational division’s asset management program using a lowest life‑cycle cost approach. Plan work, set program goals, and prepare preliminary budget information. Supervise a designated unit, determine work procedures, prepare schedules, and approve subordinates’ work. Provide technical expertise and assistance regarding asset‑management policies, procedures, and methods. Review and provide quality control for reports, products, and practices produced by subordinates. Oversee contractors used for development, improvement, or implementation of asset‑management systems. Perform technical research related to specific programs or systems and present findings verbally or in writing to superiors or the public. Convey technical information and lead technical meetings with engineering, maintenance, operations, administrative, and planning staff. Qualifications Additional education or experience may substitute for the required education. Five years of progressively responsible experience, including one year as an Asset Management Specialist 3 (or equivalent) and one year as a lead worker or supervisor. Bachelor’s degree in mathematics, engineering, geography, or a closely related field. A valid driver’s license is required. A resume and cover letter are required for this position.
