Looking for an engaging opportunity to use your expertise in speech-language pathology? A contract position is available near Syracuse, NY, inviting enthusiastic professionals to make a positive impact within a school setting. Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Current ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred
- Eligibility or possession of state licensure as an SLP
- Prior experience in schools or pediatric therapy is a plus
- Strong communication, organization, and collaboration skills
- Open to considering candidates seeking CF placements, pending district approval
Role Responsibilities:
- Assess, diagnose, and provide direct therapy for students with speech, language, voice, or fluency disorders
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) in collaboration with educators and staff
- Maintain thorough, accurate records of student progress and communicate findings to families and interdisciplinary team members
- Participate in IEP meetings, multidisciplinary consultations, and professional development activities
- Serve as a resource on communication disorders for teachers, parents, and other staff
