Mammography Technologist

Role Overview Performs mammography procedures in accordance with standards, policies, and organizational values. Responsibilities Reviews patient history, schedules appointments, educates patients about procedures, and administers contrast media or medications within scope. Assists physicians with interventional procedures like fine needle aspiration and needle localization. Prepares equipment, selects imaging parameters, ensures safety standards, performs quality control, and troubleshoots equipment issues. Positions patients, conducts imaging, analyzes results, resolves image quality issues, and reports scan findings. Uses critical thinking, works independently, and adapts in a fast-paced environment. Qualifications & Skills Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technologist program. Registered as RT and certified in Mammography (ARRT-M) or ARRT-R with provisional Mammographer registration. BLS certification from American Heart Association or Red Cross.
