Job Description
TITLE
Physical Therapist - Rehabilitation

SCHEDULE
Days, 8-hour shifts

ASSIGNMENT DETAILS
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Guaranteed Hours: 35 hours per week

REQUIREMENTS
- Missouri State License
- 1 year of Physical Therapy experience
- Experience in Long-Term Care or Rehabilitation

ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Screen, evaluate, and rehabilitate patients with physical functioning disorders and/or wound care; develop and implement an appropriate plan of care based on regulatory and clinical standards.
- Utilize standardized assessments and evidence-based practices to support clinical interventions.
- Administer various rehabilitation procedures, including manual techniques, ambulation, therapeutic exercises, modalities, and use of supportive and assistive devices.
- Assess patient progress and adjust treatments in alignment with regulatory and clinical requirements; document treatments and outcomes.
- Provide consultation and counseling to patients, families, caregivers, and other service providers regarding physical disorders.
- Collaborate with supervisors and healthcare team members about patient progress, barriers, and treatment plans.
- Prepare comprehensive discharge summaries of services provided, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Maintain patient records according to policy, accurately documenting treatment minutes and services rendered.
- Participate in required facility meetings and training programs.
- Supervise and support physical therapist assistants and rehabilitation aides, if applicable.

COMPLIANCE / NOTES
Adherence to APTA and state-required practice acts, code of conduct, and ethics during professional practice as a Physical Therapist.
