Travel RN - Telemetry - Stepdown

American Traveler is hiring an experienced travel RN for a Step-Down/Med-Surg Overflow position at a Level I Trauma Center, requiring at least 2 years of experience and prior travel nursing experience.

Job Details

• Step-down and Med-Surg overflow unit in a short-term acute care, Level I Trauma Center hospital,
• Cardiovascular (CV) patient experience is a focus of this unit,
• Patient ratio is 1:6 under a team nursing model,
• Night shift position: 7p-7a (3x12-hour shifts),
• 36 or 48-hour work weeks available; schedule details may be discussed during the interview process,
• On-call required as needed,
• Weekend work required as needed; weekend block scheduling may be considered,
• Floating between like units and campuses within 20 miles may occur, though cross-campus floating is rare,
• Cerner EMR experience preferred,

Job Requirements

• Active TN or compact RN license currently in hand - no pending licensure accepted,
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required; 3+ years preferred,
• At least one completed prior travel assignment required - first-time travelers are not eligible,
• Level I Trauma Center experience required,
• Large hospital experience required,
• Cardiovascular nursing experience required,
• ADN or higher required for this position,
• Driver's license required for consideration,

Additional Information

• Candidates must reside more than 100 miles from the facility to be eligible - local candidates are not accepted,
• If Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year's fall within the assignment period, the traveler must be willing to work 2 of the 3 holidays; if only 2 holidays fall within the assignment, at least 1 must be covered,
• All requested time off (RTO) must be submitted upfront - RTO requests will not be accepted after an offer has been made,
• Former permanent employees or internal associate travelers must have been separated for at least one year before being eligible to return as a traveler
