Sterile Processing TechThis position is for a Sterile Processing Tech. It is a temp-to-perm opportunity with a night shift schedule. The work hours are 11 PM to 7:30 AM, with a holiday rotation. Rotating weekends are required. The clinician may need to float or be moved permanently to other departments as necessary. Candidates with a minimum of two years of experience in sterile processing are preferred. Experience in handling sterilization, decontamination, and assembly/wrapping is essential. First-time candidates are not accepted for this position. Candidates should possess national certifications such as CBSPD and/or HSPA. Having BLS certification is not required for this role. Local candidates may be considered on a case-by-case basis. All requests for time off must be provided upon submission. The facility allows for one call-off per two weeks. No more than two call-outs are permitted unless there is a doctor's note. Three tardies are the maximum allowed. If holidays are not included in the request and the facility is open, the traveler is expected to work. Travelers may be assigned to emergency response teams during hurricane season.
