QPS Employment Group is hiring a Packer for a company in Vernon Hills, IL. This is a potential to hire opportunity on 2nd shift.

Wage: $18.50/hour

Shift: 2nd, 4-day x 10-hour workday Mondays through Thursdays, voluntary overtime on Fridays and some Saturdays

Hours: 4:30pm-3:00am

Packer Responsibilities Include But Are Not Limited To:

• Sort, inspect, and pack customer metal parts efficiently and according to work instructions
• Operate very basic packing and inspection related equipment
• Use basic measuring devices and report discrepancies to the lead person
• Safely operate all required lifting/moving devices
• Participate attentively in and apply all required products, processes, and safety training
• Maintain a clean and organized work area at all times
• Accurately record time of jobs packed and workday on computer (will train)
• Absolutely reliable attendance at work
• Compliance with relevant policies, procedures, and instructions, including Code of Conduct

Packer Requirements:

Experience working in a manufacturing environment

Able to read and write in English; bilingual Spanish ideal

Able to follow basic verbal and written instructions

Use basic math skills for counting and measuring

Work at a fast pace sorting and packing parts efficiently

Capable of standing, using hand trucks, bending, reaching, and lifting up to 40 pounds
