School Social Worker (Elementary) Location: South Redford, MI Caseload: PreK-5th Grade, ASD and self-contained classrooms Start/End Date: 2026-2027 School Year About the Opportunity AnthroMed Education is looking for a dedicated School Social Worker to join our team in South Redford, MI. This is a full-time position supporting one elementary school throughout the school year. You will join a supportive district that already includes nine of our AnthroMed team members, ensuring you have a strong peer network from day one. You will work alongside another social worker in the building supporting students across ASD and self-contained classrooms. The ideal candidate will feel comfortable supporting students who require higher levels of support. In this role you will also run Social-Emotional Learning (SEL) groups to support broader building needs. Caseload and Environment Targeted Caseload: Approximately 35 students with IEPs. Focus: ASD and self-contained classrooms as well as SEL groups. Support Structure: Another social worker is also in the building with you to collaborate with and work alongside. Dedicated Space: You will have a dedicated office space to conduct sessions and meetings. Responsibilities Provide direct and indirect social work services to students in need of emotional, behavioral, and social support. Conduct IEP Evaluations and contribute to the development of meaningful student goals. Facilitate small group and individual counseling sessions. Lead and support the implementation of BIPS and FBAs. Participate in IEP and 504 Plan meetings to advocate for student needs. Support students and families in accessing community resources. Qualifications Master’s degree in Social Work (MSW) from an accredited program. Michigan School Social Work Certification Experience working with school-aged children for one year. Strong communication and collaboration skills.
