Description

• Conduct thorough evaluations of patients across diverse age groups utilizing both standardized assessments and observational methods.
• Design individualized treatment plans targeting both immediate goals and long-term communication, cognitive, or swallowing needs.
• Deliver focused speech therapy sessions that enhance communication, language, fluency, voice, and swallowing skills.
• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team of physical therapists, occupational therapists, nurses, and caregivers to develop cohesive care plans.
• Provide education to patients and their families, empowering them to continue progress beyond therapy sessions.
• Handle occasional inpatient evaluations and therapy interventions, ensuring a seamless continuum of care.
• Document patient progress meticulously in compliance with state, federal, and organizational standards.
• Stay engaged with the latest practices in speech therapy through continual education and active peer collaboration.

Education

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
• Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if you have not yet achieved ASHA certification.

Certifications

• Current state licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist .
• Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA is preferred.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required within the first month of employment.
