Per Diem Welders - KEEL (Formerly Merrill Technologies) in ALMA MICHIGANJoin our team as a Welder and Fabricator, where you will be responsible for joining, fabricating, and repairing metal and other weldable materials using appropriate welding techniques. You will interpret blueprints, specifications, diagrams, or schematics to determine the most suitable welding process and ensure the structural soundness of completed welds. This role involves welding and fitting various large structural steel components for NAVSEA-related equipment.ResponsibilitiesJoin, fabricate, and repair metal and other weldable materials using appropriate welding techniques.Interpret blueprints, specifications, diagrams, or schematics to determine the appropriate welding process.Inspect completed welds to ensure structural soundness.Essential SkillsProficiency in using tape measures, fitting, FlUX COREAbility to read and interpret blueprints and welding symbols with 3-5+ years of experience.4+ years of experience in both flux core welding3-5+ years of experience in converting fractions to decimals to 1/16th and/or 1/32nd from tape measures.Welder Test Requirements2G FLUX CORE WELD TEST2G MIG WELD TESTALL TESTING IS LOCATED IN ALMA MICHIGAN WITH KEEL TECHNOLOGIESJob Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Canton, OH.Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $26.00 - $31.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
