Pay Range:  $22-$27 per hour Shift:  M-Th, 5:30 a.m. - 3:30 p.m.; overtime on Fridays as needed

What’s a typical day as Welder? You’ll be:

• Assembling multiple pieces of sheet metal using MIG, TIG, and Stick welders to create complete assemblies
• Tack/welding metal parts together using welding machines while following production drawings
• Using measuring tools such as calipers and tape measures to ensure accuracy
• Reporting unresolved shortages, job status, and needed drawing corrections to your supervisor
• Completing daily parts assembly lists and following standard shop practices
• Detecting and reporting mechanical defects of assemblies and raw material
• Maintaining a clean and safe work area and adhering to all safety protocols
• Performing any additional duties as assigned by your supervisor or management

This job might be an outstanding fit if you:

• Have a High School Diploma or equivalent (required)
• Bring at least 5 years of welding experience, including proficiency with MIG, TIG, and Stick welding
• Are a certified welder for a minimum of 2 years (required)
• Have bottom-up welding experience
• Have experience with all kinds of metals
• Can read and interpret production assembly drawings and work instructions
• Are skilled in using hand and portable power tools, measuring tape (to 1/16”), calipers, and other fabrication equipment
• Can perform basic math calculations (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division) with whole numbers and fractions
• Are comfortable working in a manufacturing environment with exposure to dust, noise, moving machinery, and varying temperatures
• Can lift, carry, push, or pull up to 50 lbs. and spend the majority of your shift walking, bending, and stooping
• Are able to attain forklift and overhead crane certification within two weeks of employment, if required
• Possess clear written and spoken English communication skills
